Twenty five years’ service at one company is a major milestone, and one Rilmac loves to celebrate. To reward such an impressive achievement Rilmac Group presents all those reaching their silver anniversary with a gold watch. The latest recipient was Steve Atkin, who was celebrating 25 years at Rilmac Fabrication.

Throughout his employment to date Steve has worked under five different managers, and at two different workshops. He is seen as a loyal, hardworking, multi-skilled and respected employee who gets on with the job. Whether this is in the workshop, or out on site, Steve receives positive feedback from both management and clients alike.

Steve has a good, longstanding relationship with Group Chairman Paul Walker, and has often been called in to repair Paul’s golf trolley. Unfortunately, since relocating from the Rilmac site on Crofton Drive to the Beevor Street workshop he has been unavailable for such important work and, as Paul jokingly quipped during Steve’s presentation “…I’ve had no one to fix it and had to fork out for a new trolley!”

Paul was delighted to present Steve with his 25th anniversary gold watch, congratulating him on his great achievement and wishing him every success for the future.

Steve has always been talented and practical, with a passion for metalwork. When he is not fabricating to a high standard at work he has been known to renovate old cars and build model railways. Everyone at the Rilmac Group would like to echo Paul’s congratulations and look forward to continuing to work with him for many years to come.
