When the directors at Rilmac were developing the new position of Group Fleet Manager among those they had in mind for this key role was former Rilmac Scaffolding Contracts Manager Steve Scawthon. The post has been designed to bring the management of all vehicles across the Rilmac divisions under one roof to achieve great economy, safety awareness, and forward planning.

Steve, who had spent four and a half years at Scaffolding after a nine year stint working for Lincolnshire Highways, was identified as a leading candidate for the job, and after a detailed recruitment process was offered the role.

Steve returns to Rilmac after a period working on other ventures and brings with him a positive attitude and enthusiasm to make a different to Rilmac’s transport planning. He believes that there is great potential for the Group’s fleet and is looking forward to improving standards and succeeding in his new role.

As a married man, father of four aged 5 to 10, and a dog owner Steve has little free time. Although he has been known to escape the family while taking the dog for a walk and visiting a local pub where he can enjoy a reflective drink and cheer Liverpool on the TV.
