As part of a structured ongoing development and growth plan Rilmac Scaffolding Ltd. are proud to announce that they have been awarded Carillion Category A status.

Achieving Category A status with the major UK contractor, who have recently been awarded sections of the new HS2 development, has raised Rilmac to the top tier of suppliers and will enable them to tender for a wider selection of larger projects across the UK. There are only a few businesses that have achieved Category A, and Rilmac are excited to be among them. It has been a long term aim of the Scaffolding Division to achieve this status, and the many years’ hard work and planning have now paid off.

“The real work starts now,” said Rilmac Scaffolding Director Des Booth, “achieving this is only the beginning. We know that we can compete and succeed at this level. Now comes the opportunity to prove it.”

“We are growing all across the country,” added Director Sam McSpadden, “especially in to London and the South East. Gaining Category A will open doors to the kind of projects we aspire to, and have been growing the business to be successful in.”

This success for Lincoln Based Rilmac Scaffolding comes shortly after the recent achievement of RISQs accreditation, a certification which allows for working on the rail network, opening up wider infrastructure opportunities in rail and road. It is hoped that this will have a knock on effect for the economy and employment in Lincolnshire.

Rilmac Group Managing Director, Steve Baxter, said, “This is a fantastic opportunity. We have worked to build the Scaffolding Division, investing in new kit and plant, employing new staff, and working on key projects. This step up opens a lot of doors for us.”

Although Rilmac are looking forward to an increase in opportunities from Carillion, they are committed to maintaining the high standards and quality service provided for all clients. The growth of recent years has come from a client focussed attitude, which will be maintained as the division moves on.
