Below is a press release from Kier Living Eastern who we supported in their Christmas Gift Appeal 2017.  It was a pleasure to be involved with such a worthwhile endeavour.

Kind-hearted staff at Kier Living Eastern have donated toys to children with learning disabilities.

Managing Director Nick Moore handed over the toys at two residential homes in Peterborough, Orchard House and The Beeches.

The toy collection was organised by Mr Moore’s PA, Jane Macdonald, who used to work for Social Services. She said: “I know children’s homes often struggle to find enough gifts at Christmas so we asked our teams to consider donating something as a sort of reverse Advent calendar. The response has been amazing and the staff at both homes are delighted.”

The donations from Tempsford-based Kier Living Eastern staff were boosted by contributions from subcontractors Howard Plastering, Rilmac Scaffolding, AD Bly, Toulson Carpentry and Clifton Plastering.

Nick Moore said: “It was wonderful to be able to present £1,000 worth of toys to these young people and we hope they have a great Christmas. I am very grateful to Jane Macdonald for getting everyone into the Christmas spirit by organising the collection.”
