Rilmac Fabrication has been appointed to manufacture the Lincoln Tank Memorial, due to be unveiled on May 10th, 2015.

The project has also been given a boost by the Chancellor, George Osborne, pledging £15,000 of support towards its construction.

The memorial will be in the form of a partly constructed tank, with male and female figures standing around the tank dressed in work wear with spanners and paintbrushes in their hands.  The memorial will also include the figures of Tritton, Rigby and Wilson who were the designers, developers and manufacturers of the tank.

The memorial recognises the huge effort made by civilian men and women in Lincoln during both world wars when the majority of engineering production in the City was switched to war work.

Rilmac, who have a long history of engineering in the heart of the city, were selected to manufacture the memorial after a competitive tendering process.
